The crossbase editions
With the on-premise solution, crossbase is installed in your IT landscape. This means that your company's existing resources and IT structures can be used.
If the company already uses its own cloud services, crossbase can be seamlessly integrated into them. For example, the proximity to the ERP system or existing system licenses from Adobe and Microsoft can be used.
This solution requires no investment on your part. Ongoing support, maintenance and updates are handled by crossbase, so that no IT resources are required. The monthly operating costs are easy to calculate.
Installation on any number of machines, e.g. production server, test server, web server.
Power users have unlimited access to all crossbase applications.
Data maintenance users have access to the crossbase applications for data maintenance and translation.
Read users have access to the Sales Information Service, e.g. for using company and product information in Word, Excel or PowerPoint.
Single sign-on can be set up for fast and seamless work with the crossbase software. This allows the user to access the crossbase applications without additional login.
For particularly high data backup requirements, online backup with the Recovery Manager (RMAN) can be used as an option. The database is operated in archive log mode, which saves incremental changes (redo logs). This enables a point-in-time recovery.
Information on the website and in printed sales documents is saved and can then be traced quickly. In addition to the content, this also includes the output channels used and output-specific information.
The configurable data hub enables the control of data transfers and batch programs. The log information is displayed visually on a cockpit interface.
The CDN is used to provide images, documents and videos on cloud servers. The files can be accessed quickly and easily by the various applications. A time limit on validity can also be defined.

Product information management with product structure, classes/attributes and product relationships.
We have extensive experience in connecting a large number of ERP systems. Data can be imported into the crossbase database fully automatically at defined times. The data can also be returned to the ERP system.
crossbase offers a graphical interface to analyze the structure of Excel and BMEcat files and to connect columns with database fields (import mapping). Transformation rules can be used for fully automatic transformations.
Media/digital asset management for managing images, documents and videos. With integrated image converter, keywording, metadata, versioning, etc.
With the Illustrator module for the production of media files, parameterized graphics can be automatically merged with texts and drawing dimensions. Texts or product features are linked to the graphics and then placed in the desired languages on the corresponding language levels.
crossbase offers a complete integration of Adobe Photoshop. The plugin can be used to freely design layouts with texts and images from the crossbase database. The content can then be updated automatically and language changes can be made.
With the BPM module, processes can be configured and visualized using a graphical editor.
The widgets used, such as calendars, applications and tasks, can be set up flexibly on the dashboard. The product preview enables the visualization of product information (PDF, HTML).
The DQM has a graphical progress display for product data maintenance and translation. A maintenance wizard enables the guided processing of missing mandatory fields based on the task list.
Translations can be carried out directly in the crossbase database, externally by an agency or in the national company. Each text is given a status so that it can be seen at any time whether it is being translated and whether the translation has been checked.
With browser-based online translation, translators and proofreaders in the country offices can access translation or proofreading jobs. This is controlled by the translation manager. The translation manager can view the status of the work at any time, assign jobs accordingly and inform the translators or proofreaders.
Translation jobs are exported in XML/XLIFF or Excel format and can be imported using translation systems such as across, RWS Trados or Excel. The translation requirements are determined precisely so that only texts with missing translations and the status "resubmission" are taken into account. In the case of print publications, the corresponding PDF documents can also be exported and linked as a visual translation aid.
The COM is used to control the output channels. Assortments and price lists can be created for specific markets and countries and used in automated media production.
The crossbase API Server offers a flexible way to access the data in the crossbase database in third-party systems. With relatively little effort, software developers can write programs that query data from the crossbase database via the REST API.
Delta services can be used to generate and forward the change information for the target system either in relation to the last complete update or in relation to the last data request.
crossbase has experience in connecting a variety of store systems. These include Magento, Shopware, Spryker, Intellishop, hybris and Shopify.
The classifications ECLASS, ECLASS advanced, ETIM, ETIM MC and UNSPSC are fully supported by crossbase. Since the imported data usually does not match the standard classifications, crossbase offers the option of matching features and catalog groups via "classification mapping".
Media files such as photos, graphics, videos and documents can be made available to authorized users via a convenient web interface.
All data for the online media is automatically prepared from the crossbase database, media-specific and up-to-date for all countries and languages.
crossbase offers plugins for convenient access to the content of the crossbase database from other applications. These include Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator as well as Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
The print engine enables the automatic page production of InDesign documents. It is integrated into crossbase and includes functions such as correction control, language change, price update and book functions.
The print server distributes the production of print products across several computers. This can significantly reduce the production time of extensive publications with many language changes.
The SIS provides authorized users with internal, web-based, read-only access to product information and media.
